Long weekend of mucking about with dyes and fabrics. Our guild did an inhouse workshop where we played with fabric and colour. Someone asked me what Stroud was. It is a really really dense wool broadcloth. It is not thick like duffle; it is about the same as melton - but the fibres are much more densely intertwined.
